The Japanese designer Fumiaki Goto created a decorative vase, which can also used as a pencil! The manufacturing process of decorative Drawing Vessels, begins with the mix of clay, graphite and water and then casting it into molds with the desired shape. Followed by the baking at high temperature.
Throughout the course of baking, a part of the decorative object is immersed in charcoal, where the absence of oxygen transform it to a pencil, while the top of the vase remains white. The collection of Drawing Vessels vases was presented at Ambiente international trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
